As part of our ongoing series of updates on Rangers pitchers with injury issues who are pitching in games, Matt Harrison threw an inning today in a "B" game against the Royals.
Harrison needed 11 pitches to get through the inning, allowing one hit and no runs.
Harrison, of course, is returning from a back injury that cost him virtually all of the 2013 season, and he was slowed earlier in camp because of a stiff back that was apparently the result of sleeping on the wrong kind of mattress.
Harrison is about 10 days behind the other pitchers in camp, and thus is expected to miss his first start or two of the season, but at this point, it appears he should be back by the middle of April.
