Pat Corbin damaged UCL: Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Pat Corbin, who was expected to be the team's Opening Day starter this year, reportedly has been diagnosed with a damaged UCL. While Corbin is going to get a second opinion, that sort of diagnosis usually leads to a pitcher undergoing Tommy John surgery, which would cost Corbin all of 2014 and, possibly, part of 2015.
Corbin is just the latest victim of the rash of injuries striking good young pitchers this spring...Kris Medlen, Brandon Beachy and Jarrod Parker are all scheduled to see Dr. James Andrews on Monday, Taijuan Walker has been slowed this spring, and of course, Matt Harrison was attacked by Death Bed: The Bed That Hurts People's Backs.
