Texas Rangers roster:  The Opening Day 25 man roster has been announced by the Rangers, together with various procedural moves.

Donnie Murphy and Josh Wilson have made the club as infielders, Jim Adduci as a reserve outfielder, and Chris Gimenez as a reserve catcher.  Shawn Tolleson and Seth Rosin make the team as relievers.

Adam Rosales is being designated for assignment, and Jurickson Profar, Geovany Soto, Yu Darvish and Matt Harrison are being placed on the disabled list.

Colby Lewis is being assigned to AAA Round Rock.

So, the final 25 man roster:

Position players:

J.P. Arencibia

Robinson Chirinos

Chris Gimenez

Prince Fielder

Donnie Murphy

Josh Wilson

Elvis Andrus

Adrian Beltre

Mitch Moreland

Michael Choice

Shin-Soo Choo

Leonys Martin

Alex Rios

Jim Adduci

Rotation:

Tanner Scheppers

Martin Perez

Joe Saunders

Robbie Ross

(Nick Martinez will be the 5th starter, but is starting the season in the minors, and will be called up when his start rolls around)

Bullpen:

Joakim Soria

Neal Cotts

Alexi Ogando

Jason Frasor

Pedro Figueroa

Shawn Tolleson

Seth Rosin

The Rangers have an extra position player right now, but per Jeff Wilson on Twitter, Gimenez is on the roster right now because he was claimed so close to Opening Day.  Presumably, he will be dropped from the 25 man roster when Martinez's contract is purchased.

The only player not already on the 40 man roster to make the 25 man roster is Josh Wilson, and Rosales being DFA'd opens up a 40 man roster spot for him.
