Thoughts on a 7-1 Rangers loss

That was terrible

Ronald Martinez

M's 7, Rangers 1

  • Colby Lewis was pretty good today.  Not great, and he got hurt in the 6th by bad defense, but overall 4 Ks, 0 walks a 1 HR in 5.1 innings in his first outing in the majors since the middle of the 2012 season is pretty good.
  • Hector Noesi and Shawn Tolleson were fine.
  • Pretty much everything else tonight was terrible.  The defense was brutal, the offense was a no-show, and the team is now 6-7.
  • Michael Choice was 1 for 2 with a walk, and Tim Bogar (managing in place of Ron Washington, who was run for arguing a transition-the-ball call after replay) sent Jim Adduci up to pinch hit for him down 7-1 in the 9th.  I have no idea what that was about.
  • Really, though, it was a terrible game.  Colby deserved better in his return.  I don't want to think about this game anymore.
