Texas Rangers outright Daniel McCutchen, sign Scott Cousins

The Texas Rangers have announced that Daniel McCutchen, who was designated for assignment earlier in the week to make room for Colby Lewis on the 25 and 40 man rosters, has cleared waivers and been outrighted to AAA Round Rock.

In addition, the Rangers have signed Scott Cousins to a minor league contract.  Cousins has spent some time in the majors as an outfielder, including last season with the Angels, but the Rangers are going to convert him to pitching.

I'm trying to think of something interesting or pithy to say about either of these things, but cannot.
