Texas Rangers outfielder Jim Adduci has been placed on the 15 day disabled list because of a fractured left little finger suffered sliding into second base yesterday, per John Blake on Twitter.
Replacing Adduci on the 25 man roster is infielder Luis Sardinas, who has been called up from AA Frisco.
Sardinas' stay on the active roster is likely to be a short one, as Adrian Beltre is expected to be activated from the disabled list when he is eligible to return on April 24.
There was some debate about whether Adduci, Michael Choice or Kevin Kouzmanoff would be sent down to make room for Beltre this coming week, but the Adduci injury makes it moot. Adduci is apparently expected to miss the next four weeks or so with this injury.
