Derek Holland injury update: Derek Holland is throwing off a mound today for the first time since undergoing microfracture surgery in January. This news comes via Anthony Andro on Twitter:

There's still a long way to go before Holland is ready to pitch in the majors again, but he has been saying he expects to be on a rehab assignment in the minors during May, and be ready to pitch in the majors by early June. The Rangers have been expecting him back around the All Star Break. As we saw last year with Colby Lewis and Matt Harrison, setbacks can change things, we don't want to count our chickens, etc., but this is very good news.
