Nick Martinez recalled, Hector Noesi designated for assignment

To make room for Nick Martinez, tonight's starter, on the active roster, Hector Noesi has been designated for assignment

Pitcher Hector Noesi, recently claimed on waivers by the Texas Rangers from the Seattle Mariners, has been designated for assignment in order to open a spot on the 25 man roster for tonight's starting pitcher, Nick Martinez.  The Rangers have 10 days to waive, trade or release Noesi.

This move isn't particularly surprising, as Noesi was unimpressive in his few Ranger outings.  The Rangers will likely look to run him through waivers and outright him to AAA Round Rock.

The 40 man roster is now at 39.
