Matt Harrison to start Sunday against Seattle

Matt Harrison will be activated from the d.l. on Sunday and start in Seattle

USA TODAY Sports

Texas Rangers lefthander Matt Harrison will return to the major league rotation on Sunday, per Evan Grant.

Ron Washington apparently said today that Harrison will make a start against the M's on Sunday, with Robbie Ross and Colby Lewis starting the first two games of that series, and Yu Darvish starting against Oakland at home on Monday.  Wash is quoted saying that they set up the rotation that way so that Colby and Harrison don't pitch in Colorado, where they would have to hit because there will be no DH in the N.L. park.

Harrison's return has appeared imminent since his last rehab outing, where he threw 8 shutout innings, and now we know definitively when it will be.

We'll have to wait and see what the roster move will be to clear a spot on the 25 man roster for Harrison, and that will probably be dependent, at least in part, on what happens with Shin-Soo Choo, and whether he'll need a d.l. stint.
