Nick Tepesch is Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week

The PCL has named Nick Tepesch their Pitcher of the Week for last week

Texas Ranger minor league pitcher Nick Tepesch has been named the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week for last week.

Tepesch, pitching for the Round Rock Express, had a complete game shutout of the Memphis Redbirds last week, in which he allowed just 5 hits, striking out 6 and walking no one.

Tepesch was vying for a spot in the Ranger rotation this spring, but dropped out of the competition after struggling in March.  Tepesch has bounced back strong since the minor league season started, however, putting up a 1.82 ERA in 34.2 innings pitched, striking out 27, walking 6 and allowing just a lone home run.  Tepesch is currently third in the PCL in ERA.
