Joey Gallo named Carolina League Player of the Week

Myrtle Beach third baseman Joey Gallo was named the Carolina League Player of the Week for last week

Texas Ranger minor league third baseman Joey Gallo has been named the Carolina League Player of the Week, the second time in three weeks he has garnered that award.

Gallo had a .364/.516/.909 slash line last week, with three homers and eight walks. So yeah, that's pretty impressive.

Gallo also got a write-up yesterday by Jonathan Mayo as the MLB Pipeline Player of the Week.
