This is not baseball-related, but it is sports-related and a pretty big deal, so I figured I'd put a post up about it...
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has announced that L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling has been banned from the NBA for life, and fined $2.5 million, for comments he made that were recorded by his mistress. Silver will seek to have Sterling sell the team.
"Effective immediately, I am banning Mr. Sterling for life from any association with the Clippers organization or the NBA." -- Adam Silver

You can read more from Adrian Wojnarowski here on the sanctions and the situation.
This should set up some very interesting drama, as Sterling is very litigious -- he's famously been sued over refusing to pay coaches he's fired -- and the last thing you generally want to do is get involved in litigation with someone rich, old, crazy, and who doesn't give a damn about what people think about him.
This is about to get real.
Mad real.
