Saturday a.m. Rangers stuff

Saturday morning Rangers news and links

Brian Blanco

That was a bad game yesterday.  Bleah.

Jeff Wilson's game story talks about how Joe Saunders' injury was just one of the negative things that happened in a game where nothing went right.

In T.R. Sullivan's game story, Saunders says he thinks his stuff was better than his results yesterday.

Evan Grant's game story says there is plenty of blame to go around, and specifically mentions that Gary Pettis waved Prince Fielder home in the fourth inning, but Fielder stopped on his own, which is what caused the out on the bases that snuffed out a Ranger rally.

Someone named Chris Girandola does a "Rapid Reaction" from the game at the ESPN Dallas blog.

Evan Grant has his game report at the DMN Rangers blog.

Prince Fielder said of last night's game, "It just wasn't our night."

Nick Martinez makes his major league debut tonight, and he says that, good or bad, he's going to use it as a learning experience.  He will have 50 friends and family members there to cheer him on.

The Rangers are targeting April 23 for Matt Harrison's return to the rotation.

Yu Darvish, meanwhile, returns tomorrow, and says his stiff neck is a non-issue.

The S-T's notes talk about Seth Rosin getting his first major league win, and Michael Choice starting today against David Price.

Sullivan's notes hit on Colby Lewis, Nick Martinez, Michael Choice and Shin-Soo Choo.
