Sunday morning Rangers news and links

Leon Halip

Good morning, everybody.  Rangers are trying to get back to .500 today, behind Colby Lewis.

Jeff Wilson's game story talks about how the Rangers have traded prospects in recent years, but two players who other teams really wanted (and couldn't get) -- Rougned Odor and Nick Martinez -- led the Rangers to a victory yesterday.

T.R. Sullivan's game story highlights the efforts of rookies Rougned Odor and Nick Martinez.

Richard Durrett has his Rapid Reaction to the 12-2 Rangers win.  Durrett also talks about how Odor and Martinez are taking advantage of the opportunity for playing time they've been given.

Evan Grant has his game report at the DMN Rangers blog.

Grant writes about what the Rangers did and didn't do, in terms of medical clearance, in regards to Prince Fielder prior to trading for him.

Durrett writes that, with all the changes the Rangers' lineup has experienced, Ron Washington plans on doing more juggling of the batting order than he has in years past.

The S-T's notes talk about Shin-Soo Choo moving back to the leadoff spot, Leonys Martin dropping back down in the order, and Joe Saunders joining the Ranger rotation.

Durrett's notes talk about the Rangers staying aggressive on the basepaths and Colby Lewis wanting better results than he's had in his last couple of outings.

Sullivan's notes talk about Alexi Ogando, Shin-Soo Choo, the lineup situation, Joe Saunders, and former Ranger picks having the opportunity to go high in the MLB draft on June 5.
