So apparently Prince Fielder was sapping the Rangers of their ability to score runs. But now Chris Gimenez is here so there's no reason to fret.
The Rangers moved back above .500 for the first time since May 12, won three straight for the first time since the sweep in Oakland in April, and have won five of six overall. Best yet, Yu Darvish goes tomorrow night.
Player of the Game: The Rangers got big hits from Gimenez, Alex Rios, and Elvis Andrus but the PofG was definitely Nick Tepesch. BDN settled in nicely going 6 2/3 innings while allowing only two runs. It's only been three starts for Tepesch this season but it looks like he's starting to make the adjustments at this level that eluded him last season.
