Tired of getting bludgeoned by the Rockies, and looking for a spark, the Rangers made a flurry of moves today. And if you're looking for a spark, look no further and Rougned Odor. The Rangers purchased their top prospect Roogie Odor from Frisco and he'll make his major league debut tonight if the weather cooperates.
Additionally, Luis Sardinas has been recalled from the minors. To accommodate the new two youngest players in the league, the Rangers have designated Josh Wilson for assignment and put Donnie Murphy on the disabled list.
But that's not all. In something of a surprise move, the Rangers also designated Scott Baker for assignment and purchased the contract of Justin Germano to be the long man tonight.
Who knows how long Roogie will be up with the big team but it should be fun to watch while it lasts. And who knows, maybe Jurickson Profar just got Wally Pipp'd.
