2014 Texas Rangers draft: Rangers first round draft pick Luis Ortiz, a right handed pitcher out of Orange, California, has been signed for a $1.75 million bonus, per the folks on Twitter.
Ortiz was the 30th overall pick in the draft, and his bonus was right at slot money.
With Ortiz now being signed, the Rangers have inked their top four draft picks: Ortiz, Ti'Quan Forbes, Josh Morgan, and Brett Martin.
Ortiz is being assigned to the Rangers' Arizona Rookie League team once the complex league season starts, per John Blake.
