Michael Choice has mashed the last couple of days, and is being rewarded with a spot at the top of the order for today's game.
With righthander Josh Tomlin going for the Indians today, Wash has dropped Shin-Soo Choo from the leadoff spot to the #3 spot, with Mitch Moreland dropping down from #3 to #6. Moreland has been mired in a slump that has seen his OPS drop to 659 on the season. Michael Choice now has a higher OPS than Moreland, at 664.
