Free agent first baseman/DH Kendrys Morales is a Minnesota Twin, tweets Jon Heyman. Heyman is plugged in with Morales agent Scott Boras, so it stands to reason this is good info.
The Texas Rangers reportedly had some interest in Morales, who would have cost a draft pick if he had signed prior to yesterday. Now, he doesn't cost a pick.
With Morales off the board, the Rangers are likely going to have to look for the players they currently have in place to perform better if they want more offensive production. Morales likely would have put Michael Choice and Mitch Moreland back into a platoon situation had he signed here.
