Saturday morning Rangers news and links

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning everyone.

T.R. Sullivan's game story talks about the team wasting a solid start by Nick Tepesch while losing their 20th game in their last 23.

Anthony Andro's game story talks about how, while the game wasn't as bad as some of the games over the past week, the Rangers still lost.

Stefan Stevenson's game story also hits on the "hey, at least it wasn't as bad of a loss" theme, as well.

ESPN Dallas has their "Rapid Reaction" on the 3-0 loss.

There was a team meeting after the game on Thursday, with Ron Washington saying that winning is expected, and he wants to see changes and commitment from the players.

Randy Jennings also has a piece on the Rangers' post-game meeting.

Gerry Fraley writes that the effect of the post-game speech from Thursday was apparently negated by Angels starter Garrett Richards.

Fraley also has a post-game recap where the headline talks about Game Six, because apparently the DMN headline writers hate us.

The Rangers have apparently indicated that Joakim Soria, Jason Frasor, and Neal Cotts are all available to be traded.

Dirk Hayhurst is angry with old pitchers who think today's pitchers are weak.

The Rangers practiced bunting on Thursday.

T.R. Sullivan's notes talk about Jim Adduci heading out on a rehab assignment today, the team meeting, the Rangers wanting a big return if they trade Joakim Soria, and Matt West and Jake Smolinski getting promoted and playing well right away.
