Texas Rangers rumors:  Ryan Feierabend, a lefthanded pitcher, will be joining the Texas Rangers today.  Currently on a minor league deal at AAA Round Rock, the Rangers will be purchasing the contract of the 28 year old to add him to the 40 man roster.  There has been no announcement as to how the Rangers will clear room for him on the 25 or 40 man rosters, but Roman Mendez or Matt West could be optioned to open a 25 man roster spot, and players are available to be moved to the 60 day d.l. to open up a 40 man roster spot.

Feierabend was a 3rd round draft choice of the Seattle Mariners in the 2003 draft, and made it to the majors in 2006, in his age 20 season.  However, he hasn't been in the majors since 2008.  Feierabend has pitched in the Ranger organization the past two seasons, and has a 4.54 ERA in 19 starts for Round Rock this season.  T.R. Sullivan says either Feierabend or Scott Baker will start tomorrow.

In addition, Engel Beltre has been pulled off his rehab assignment.  Our own Philar has reported that he has looked slow and uncertain out there, and the Rangers are apparently going to have him do some agility drills before sending him back out.
