Spencer Patton video -- Tepid pointed out this video on MILB.com of new Ranger minor league reliever Spencer Patton fanning a batter in the AAA All Star Game last week:

Patton is kind of a fringey prospect, a guy who doesn't throw real hard (low-90s), but he throws strikes and relies on a certain amount of deception.  He's Rule 5 eligible after the season, so the Rangers will have to decide whether they want to add him to the 40 man roster or risk him being selected by another team, and if they've opted to use a 40 man spot on him, we could see him in Texas when rosters expand.

In any case, he's not a future closer or anything, but could end up being a nice, inexpensive middle reliever down the road.  Basically, we traded Jason Frasor for a guy that, we hope, turns into another Jason Frasor.
