Texas Rangers prospects: Joey Gallo headlines a group of five Rangers minor leaguers who cracked the MLB.com top 100 prospect list.
Gallo, who hit his 36th home run of the season earlier today, came in as the #9 prospect in MLB, according to this ranking. Jorge Alfaro, meanwhile, checked in at #34.
Rounding out the Rangers' contingent were righthanded pitcher Luke Jackson, currently toiling at AAA, who is at #77; outfielder Nick Williams, who ranked #91; and pitcher Chi Chi Gonzalez, who came in at #100.
The updated Rangers top 20 list is also available here, and the two pitchers just acquired in the Joakim Soria trade, Jake Thompson and Corey Knebel, ranked #6 and #7, respectively.
