Joey Gallo, Alec Asher win Texas League Awards

Frisco Roughrider players Joey Gallo and Alec Asher have been named the Texas League Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for last week.

Gallo had gone a couple of weeks without homering for the Roughriders before going deep in Game 2 of a doubleheader on July 22.  He then hit four more homers after that, continuing to terrorize Texas League pitchers (when he makes contact, anyway).

Asher, meanwhile, threw 14.1 innings over two games, allowing just one run while allowing 10 hits and a walk, striking out 11.
