News has filtered in from Tepid and Scott Lucas that some Rangers minor leaguers have been promoted.
Congrats to @LewisBrinson on his promotion to Myrtle Beach. Williams, Garia, Brinson outfield- the place where line drives go to die.

2012 first round pick, Lewis Brinson has been promoted to Myrtle Beach after posting a .335 / .405 / .579 line in 186 plate appearances this year while repeating at low-A Hickory. Of particular note is Brinson's reduction in strikeout rate from 38% in 2013 to 24.7% this season. Lewis missed a few weeks in June with a quad injury but in the ten games since he returned he's hit .436 / .500 / 1.026 with two doubles and seven home runs.
Hanser Alberto gets a 2nd chance in Frisco. Still just 21. A little stubby but can really play short. Good contact but swing-happy.

Hanser Alberto gets another shot at Frisco, as does Chris Grayson. Royce Bolinger off the DL for Myrtle Beach.

Both Hanser and outfielder Chris Grayson were promoted to Frisco last year but both started this year at Myrtle Beach. Alberto particularly struggled at AA last year, but has had a solid start at Myrtle Beach hitting .274 / .304 / .413, his third year spending time in the Carolina League.
