Good morning, all. Everyone enjoy the very eventful trade deadline (that wasn't eventful for Texas)?
Jeff Wilson has a story about the Rangers not making any moves yesterday.
T.R. Sullivan also has a piece on the deadline coming and going yesterday, writing that the Rangers got inquiries on not just Neal Cotts and Alex Rios, but also Yu Darvish, Adrian Beltre and Colby Lewis.
Calvin Watkins writes that Jon Daniels has work to do if he wants to catch up to the Oakland A's next year.
Evan Grant writes that, while the Rangers are out of it this year, they could be right back in the playoff hunt very quickly.
At WFAA.com, Peter Ellwood writes about Darvish's pitch selection this year, and Kate Morrison looks at some of the top tools in the Rangers' minor league system.
Meanwhile, Phil Klein is breaking news:
Cleveland here I come! So blessed to have had this opportunity given to me! Still in a bit of shock #TexasRangers
— Phil Klein (@PhilKlein31) August 1, 2014
Klein, a righty reliever who has had an exceptional year splitting time between AA and AAA, has been on our radar for a potential callup for a while now, and I'm guessing he replaces Nick Tepesch on the 25 man roster.
