Wednesday morning Rangers news and links

Rick Yeatts

Good morning, everyone.  I think Ben forgot today is his links day, so this is going up late.

Jeff Wilson writes about how media whipping boy Leonys Martin had a big night last night in helping the Rangers beat the Rays last season, but goes to pains to point out that doesn't mean he hasn't been a big flop this year.

T.R. Sullivan's game story celebrates Adam Rosales' heroic 14th inning walk-off walk.

Anthony Andro's game story talks about Scott Baker, who hadn't pitched in a Rangers win this season prior to yesterday, picking up the victory in yesterday's 3-2 Ranger triumph.

Calvin Watkins has his Rapid Reaction to yesterday's victory at the ESPN Dallas blog.

Evan Grant has "five quick thoughts" on yesterday's win.

Watkins has some notes on Nick Tepesch's second straight solid outing, as well as the bullpen doing work last night.

Ron Washington says Tepesch is "growing," and praised his going 7 innings last night.

The Rangers set a team record for most innings without issuing a walk in a single game, or tied it, anyway.

Robinson Chirinos has been great at protecting the plate.

Gil Lebreton has a column on Shin-Soo Choo playing on through his "most disappointing of 10 major league seasons."

The S-T's notes talk about Tanner Scheppers being back in the bullpen in 2015, Scott Baker not having pitched in a Ranger win this year (until last night!), and Miles MIkolas getting "too cute."

Sullivan's notes hit on Scheppers, Alex Rios, and Leonys Martin.
