Well this really is our own personal hell of a baseball season.
#Rangers have placed RHP Yu Darvish on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow inflammation.

Not the elbow, man. Never the elbow.
The Rangers are calling up lefty changeup specialist Alex Claudio -- which, under other circumstances would be a triumph -- to replace Darvish on the roster. The team has also announced that Robbie Ross will start for the Rangers tomorrow.
I hate this season.
UPDATE:
Jon Daniels: Do not believe the ligament is involved in Yu Darvish injury; will have MRI tomorrow. Hopeful he misses only 2 starts.

This is good preliminary news. Hopefully the MRI results agree with this sentiment. Then again, the Rangers tend to undersell the initial injury reports. And, as Evan Grant points out, of the players with an "elbow inflammation" diagnosis from the Rangers this season, none have returned.
