Saturday morning Rangers news and links

Mike Stone

Hi, folks.

Stefan Stevenson's game story is all about Colby Lewis, who was pitching on the one year anniversary of his hip resurfacing surgery.

Anthony Andro's game story also focuses on Colby Lewis, saying that Lewis has put himself in the mix for a rotation spot in 2015.

The Rangers' website game story quotes Ron Washington as saying that Lewis couldn't keep the ball down in the second inning, but that he kept them in the game.

Gerry Fraley's game story laments the lack of power the Rangers have shown at home.

Calvin Watkins has his Rapid Reaction at the ESPN Dallas site.  Watkins also writes about Lewis's surprising 2014 season, and the possibility of him returning to Texas for 2015.

John Henry writes about Tom Schieffer, who is being inducted into the Rangers Hall of Fame today.

Kate Morrison has a Q&A with 2013 1st rounder Chi Chi Gonzalez.

The S-T has a story on Yu Darvish's return being in limbo, and in the headline, he's referring to as "Yu Davish."

Gerry Fraley says Ron Washington is doing "spin control" about some comments he made about Darvish on the radio, though it sounds more like it is Washington clarifying what he meant after some in the media misinterpreted it.

Phil Klein has bounced back after giving up leadoff homers in his first two appearances, having pitched well since then.

The Rangers' website notes has stuff on the Darvish situation, Derek Holland's rehab start tomorrow, Ron Washington going to Japan, and Neal Cotts.

Watkins' notes talk about Holland, Rougned Odor getting a day off, and Scott Baker likely starting tomorrow.
