Derek Holland has been scratched from his scheduled rehab start tomorrow because of back spasms, according to John Blake on Twitter.
It was thought that tomorrow's start might be Holland's final rehab start before returning to the active roster, but now, Holland's status returns to being unknown, and it seems unlikely he'll be activated before rosters expand on September 1.
Holland has missed the entire season after undergoing January microfracture surgery on his knee, after he injured his knee while playing with his dog. That injury was the first of what has seemed like an endless series of injuries that have wrecked the Rangers' 2014 season.
