Mike Carp exits game with tight groin

Per John Blake, Mike Carp's third inning departure from tonight's game was due to a tight groin

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Texas Ranger first baseman Mike Carp left today's game against the Houston Astros in the third inning with what Ranger p.r. guy John Blake says is tightness in his left groin:

With Alex Rios already sidelined with an ankle issue, the departure of Carp means that the Rangers are down to a two man bench -- Adam Rosales and Robinson Chirinos.
