Thoughts on a 2-1 Rangers win

Derek Holland and Neftali Feliz, doin' things...

Rangers 2, Braves 1

  • Congratulations to Phil Klein on his first major league win.
  • Derek Holland allowed 1 runs in 7 IP today, struck out 6, and hasn't walked anyone.  He still has not issued a walk this season in the majors.  He looks like he's back, healthy, and good again.
  • Neftali Feliz pitched for the second day in a row.  He threw 95-96 mph for the second day in a row, and picked up the save in a 1-2-3 inning.  He looks like he's back, healthy, and good again.
  • Ryan Rua and Adrian Beltre each had 2 hits.  Rua doesn't have great numbers, but he's making some contact and has hit the ball hard since coming up, and he looks like someone who has a big league future.
  • 15 more games until this season is over.  Geez...it feels like this season has gone on for, like, 27 months.  I can't wait for the 2014 campaign to be done with.
