Texas Rangers outfield Alex Rios is going to miss at least a week with a thumb infection, per the beat writers on Twitter.

Rios has been dealing with thumb and ankle issues for some time, and with the expanded rosters and the season being basically over anyway, there's no reason to make him push through this.

I have nothing else to say about this.  Wash's resignation is clouding my thoughts right now.
