Neftali Feliz and the Texas Rangers have agreed on a one year deal for the 2015 season for $4.125 million, according to multiple reports.
Feliz was one of the top relievers in baseball from 2009-11, then had his conversion to being a starting pitcher derailed in 2012 due to Tommy John surgery. He's been a reliever since coming back from surgery, though the road has been a bumpy one...he spent much of 2014 in the minors, and it wasn't until the final month of the season that Feliz once against consistently looked like the Neftali Feliz of old.
Feliz figures to have the inside track for the closer job for Texas in 2015, and is under team control through the 2016 season.
