Mitch Moreland and the Texas Rangers have exchanged arbitration figures, per Jon Heyman on Twitter. Heyman says Moreland is requesting $3.35 million, while the Rangers' number is $2.75 million.
Under baseball's arbitration rules, if the case goes to arbitration, the arbitrator must pick one figure or the other, and cannot opt for a compromise number.
The Rangers, however, have not gone to arbitration since 2000, when Lee Stevens and the team went to arbitration. I suspect that the team and Moreland will end up setting at around the halfway mark.
