Good morning. Usually when one of the respectable baseball reporter types sends out a tweet that a team is "on the verge" of doing something, within five minutes or so, a confirmation tweet will follow and then all the official information will begin to trickle out. It's never so simple with the Rangers, and so, Yovani Gallardo watch continues.

ESPN's Jerry Crasnick confirmed Ken Rosenthal's initial "on the verge" report with all signs are pointing toward the Rangers acquiring Gallardo at some point. The when and for whom still remains a mystery.

Brewers beat writer Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel also seemed resigned to the inevitability of Gallardo being shipped to Texas.

T.R. Sullivan would only go as far as to say that the Rangers and Brewers are in talks on a Gallardo trade with the Rangers not prepared to announce any such deal.

In fact, Anthony Andro writes that if the Rangers have a deal in place for Gallardo, JD ain't sayin'.

Jeff Wilson writes that the Rangers may have finally plugged this offseason's biggest hole, with Gallardo slotted third in the starting rotation, if they can put the finishing touches on the deal.

The Question of the Week over at Lone Star Ball Facebook asked for your favorite prospect of all time. Let's pour another out for Hank Blalock...

Lastly, in your weekly edition of The NFL is a Clown Shoes Organization: Apparently the Patriots are under investigation with the league for allegedly playing with deflated footballs during yesterday's AFC Championship Game.

Have a good day.
