Hey, creepy fish live in a lake 750 meters under ice in Antarctica! Also some Rangers crap...

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Calvin Watkins notes that the Rangers acquired Carlos Corporan from the Astros yesterday.

While it was assumed that the Rangers now have a full rotation, Mike Maddux yesterday revealed that Ross Detwiler doesn't have his spot locked up.

Mitch Moreland's contract still hasn't been finalized, with the parties still $600,000 apart.

Watkins' notes column talks about Jurickson Profar throwing, the price for Corporan, and the possibility of an extension for Gallardo.

T.R. Sullivan tells us that Yovani Gallardo has always wanted to play for the Rangers.

Sullivan also looks at Ross Detwiler competing for the fifth starter spot, noting that Nick Tepesch, Nick Martinez, and Lisalverto Bonilla will be nipping at his heels.

Corporan had some sage words about the trade, saying "I am really excited to play for my team, they've got a good team and hopefully I can help in any way."

Gerry Fraley looks at the Corporan trade.

Apparently there's an "autograph plan" for the upcoming Fan Fest.

Mitch Moreland is facing a crossroads season in 2015, says Gerry Fraley, but that "doesn't change who I am or what I'm going to try to do," according to Moreland.  Which is supply replacement level production in a North-Texas-friendly non-threatening package.

Fraley's notes column looks at Akeem Bostick, who went to Houston in exchange for Corporan.

And, finally, scientists have discovered fish living in a lake 740 meters under the ice in Antarctica... untouched by sunlight.  Silly scientists... that's not fish, it's The Thing.  WAKE UP, SHEEPLE!
