Texas Rangers minor league outfielder Chris Grayson has been suspended for 50 games after testing positive for an amphetamine, per Jeff Wilson on Twitter.
Grayson, 25, was a 13th round draft pick of the Rangers in 2011 out of Lee University in Tennessee. He split the 2014 season between Myrtle Beach and Frisco, getting 182 PAs in 45 games with Myrtle Beach, and 181 PAs in 44 games with Frisco, which is kind of wacky.
Grayson is more or less an organizational depth guy, and was likely slated to be a backup outfielder for the Roughriders in 2015 prior to this suspension.
