Sunday morning Rangers news and links

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning, folks...

Yesterday was the Rangers FanFest, and Stefan Stevenson has a story from the event, with quotes from fans who are hoping 2015 is better for the Rangers than 2014 was.

Jon Daniels said at the event yesterday that the team is still looking to improve the bullpen.

In a Q&A yesterday, Daniels described the chances of Josh Hamilton returning to Texas as "small."

T.R. Sullivan writes about Daniels' concerns about the pen, with only three lefthanded relievers in camp.

Elvis Andrus has lost 15 pounds this offseason, and credits doing yoga and pilates for the weight loss.  The DMN also has some highlights of some questions Elvis answered at the FanFest.

Joey Gallo talked about what it was like becoming suddenly famous last season.

Over at Sports on Earth, Paul Casella identifies the Rangers as one of the last place teams from 2014 who could be a contender in 2015.

Former Ranger Mike Napoli underwent surgery this offseason for sleep apnea, a procedure which involved his jaws being broken and his lower jaw being re-positioned.  He said he had gone eight years without dreaming, due to inability to reach REM sleep, and would wake up 50-100 times per night prior to the surgery.

The S-T's notes talk about the search for bullpen help, Jurickson Profar, Yu Darvish, Ross Ohlendorf, and Chi Chi Gonzalez.
