The Waiting is the Hardest Part

The Rangers play Game 5 of the ALDS tomorrow afternoon, and I'm antsy

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

I don't have anything to say about the Rangers right now, I don't think.

I mean, what is there to say?  We are 2-2 in the ALDS.  The game is tomorrow.  We are where we are.  We have Cole Hamels pitching, and he's Cole Hamels.  Toronto has Marcus Stroman pitching, and he's Marcus Stroman.

It would have been great to have closed this series out yesterday, or the day before, and we could be relaxing and talking about whether we'd be facing Kansas City or Houston in the ALCS.  But nothing for the 2015 Rangers can be easy, and so we are heading back to Toronto for a winner-take-all Game 5.

The nature of baseball is such that I don't think there's a whole lot of purpose in examining individual games ahead of time that deeply.  Each team has a very good pitcher going, who the other team has seen once.  Everyone will have a rested bullpen.  All hands will be on deck.

And so I'm sitting here, counting down the hours until Game 5 starts.
