Friday morning Rangers news and links

Peter Llewellyn-USA TODAY Sports

And so we start the offseason morning links...days and days of no games to talk about, just offseason stuff...

Jeff Wilson writes about the Rangers "packing up" and heading into the offseason with optimism over next year.

Cole Hamels says he's looking forward to being with the Rangers for the next several years.

Evan Grant lists five players that the Rangers need to make decisions on this offseason.

T.R. Sullivan writes that the health of Josh Hamilton and Adrian Beltre, both of whom finished the season banged up, is an issue for the Rangers to address.

Mac Engel is continuing to push "The Curse of Nolan Ryan," blaming the Rangers' departure from the ALDS on that.

Tim Cowlishaw, meanwhile, says Elvis Andrus and Derek Holland "choked" in the ALDS, and goes so far as to question whether Holland should be in the rotation next year.

Grant says that the Rangers let the series get away from them before the fateful 7th inning.
