Texas/Toronto series and WPA

The series between the Rangers and the Blue Jays had a disproportionate amount of large swings in WPA

Nick Turchiaro-USA TODAY Sports

The five game ALDS between the Texas Rangers and the Toronto Blue Jays felt like a very dramatic series with a lot of big moments, and according to FanGraphs, that feeling is actually supported by the data.

Sean Dolinar takes a look at the biggest swings in WPA for both hitters and pitchers in the four LDS series, and the Rangers/Jays series is prominently represented.  Three of the top 10 hitter WPA swings came from the Rangers/Jays series, including the top two -- Hanser Alberto's single and the Jose Bautista three run home run.

On the pitching side, the Rangers/Jays series had five of the ten biggest WPA swings, including the #1 change.
