Prince Fielder, Comeback Player of the Year: The Sporting News has named Prince Fielder the winner of their 2015 American League Comeback Player of the Year Award, according to John Blake on Twitter.
Prince missed the majority of the 2014 season after having season-ending surgery in May to address a bulging disc in his neck, and put up just a .247/.360/.360 line in 178 plate appearances in his first year with the Rangers.
In 2015, however, Prince put up a .305/.378/.463 slash line in 693 plate appearances, appearing in 158 games and helping to lead the Rangers to the A.L. West title.
