Hamilton in left field, Napoli at first base against Santiago

The Rangers have Napoli back at first base and Hamilton in left field against Angels lefty Hector Santiago today

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

The Angels have lefthander Hector Santiago going for them today, which means Mike Napoli is in the lineup.  Jeff Banister has opted to go with Napoli at first base today, with Josh Hamilton playing left field, and Mitch Moreland on the bench.

The lineup:

DeShields -- CF

Choo -- RF

Beltre -- 3B

Prince -- DH

Napoli -- 1B

Hamilton -- LF

Elvis -- SS

Odor -- 2B

Chirinos -- C

Colby Lewis is on the mound for Texas today, and the Rangers are going to need innings from him.  Sam Dyson and Shawn Tolleson have each pitched in the past four games, making their availability today questionable, and Keone Kela has apparently been unavailable of late as well.  With a drained pen, you have to think the Rangers are going to ask Colby to go at least 7 innings today, which may impact how he approaches the Angels hitters...we may be seeing more fastballs early in the count as Lewis looks for short at bats.
