The Baseball America top 20 prospect list for the Pacific Coast League is out, and two Texas Rangers make the cut -- third baseman Joey Gallo and pitcher Chi Chi Gonzalez.
Gallo is #2 on the list, behind only Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager. Gallo, of course, has folks swooning over his raw power, with the only significant knock on him being the swing-and-miss tendencies.
Chi Chi slots in at #12 on the BA list, between Diamondbacks RHP Aaron Blair and Brewers outfielder Domingo Santana. Chi Chi is viewed as a potential mid-rotation starter by BA, and will no doubt get a chance to fill a rotation spot at the start of next season with the Rangers while the team waits for Yu Darvish to return.
