Good morning folks...
Evan Grant predicts the Rangers will add Will Lamb, Jose Leclerc, Connor Sadzeck and Nomar Mazara to the 40 man roster today. I've been working under the assumption that the Rangers' J-2 class from 2011 wouldn't be Rule 5 eligible this offseason, but apparently they are, which means that Mazara, Ronald Guzman and Yohander Mendez have to be protected, or else they can be lost.
My guess, for what it is worth, is that the Rangers protect Mazara and Sadzeck.
T.R. Sullivan writes that the health of the Rangers' current starting pitchers is likely a bigger issue for the team's 2016 success than the addition of any outside starting pitcher.
Gerry Fraley lays out four changes MLB announced that could affect the Rangers.
Jeff Wilson writes that the most controversial of those changes is MLB's recommending that clubs instead netting down the foul lines to protect fans.
ESPN will be televising 7 games on the Sunday and Monday "Opening Day"s, including the Rangers and Seattle at 3:05 p.m. on Monday, April 4.
