Good morning.
The annual MLB Trade Rumor free agent predictions have the Rangers signing Steve Pearce and calling it a winter. Justin Upton, Yoenis Cespedes, Dexter Fowler, Austin Jackson, John Lackey, and the outfielding Chris Young are provided as possibilities for Texas but the predictions have them all going elsewhere.
Evan Grant offers five external player targets for the Rangers to keep an eye on this winter with Pearce among them. (And also Sonny Gray which isn't going to happen but if it does, I bet Drew Robinson would end up an A. You know he'd have two or three seasons of OBPing .400 with a rando 30 bomb season mixed in for good measure for those dudes.)
Since they opened Galloway's crypt and stuck a typewriter in front of him yesterday, you'd think Mac Engel would try to venture out on his own a little. Instead, he just (sort of) provides Jim Reeves' thoughts from 2004 about Doug Brocail.
Finally, Anthony Castrovince has 15 predictions to fuel the hot stove. None of them involve the Rangers really (except he doesn't think Yovani Gallardo -- or anyone -- will accept the QO) but heck, predictions are fun to read.
Have a nice day.
