The ZiPS projections are out for the Texas Rangers for 2016

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

2016 Texas Rangers ZiPS projections:  Dan Szymborski's ZiPS projections for the Rangers for the upcoming year are out at FanGraphs, and not surprisingly, it sees this as closer to a .500 team than as a World Series contender.

Once you get past Adrian Beltre, Yu Darvish and Cole Hamels, ZiPS doesn't see much to be too excited about, with Rougned Odor being the only other player projected to be worth at least 2 wins.

I'll go on record now as saying I will take the over on Martin Perez -- I will be surprised if he doesn't at least double the projected 1.1 fWAR ZiPS anticipates.
