Colby Lewis and the Texas Rangers have agreed to a one year deal worth $6 million, according to multiple reports.
This is not surprising, in that the Rangers and Colby have both expressed a desire for a reunion. If anything, the $6M number seems a little lower than the $7-9M figure I was anticipating.
I've written enough love letters about Colby that y'all know how I feel about him, and I'm thrilled to have him back at this price in 2016. Texas can still explore trading a bullpen piece for a young starting pitcher like Archie Bradley, but this puts Texas in a place where they don't have to add any more pitching if the deal isn't right.
