Sunday morning Rangers news and links

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning, everyone...

Jeff Wilson writes that one of the Rangers big issues heading into the Winter Meetings is what to do about left field, where Josh Hamilton is currently the starter, but everyone knows he's unlikely to be able to stay on the field.

Evan Grant looks at five issues that could be in play for the Rangers heading into the Winter Meetings.

Evan also talks about the possible ways that the Rangers could look to fill out their starting rotation, and floats the possibility of Jurickson Profar being used in July as the centerpiece for a trade to land a starter, should such a move make sense then.

And...that's all we have right now.  You'd think we'd have more Rangers news, with the Winter Meetings starting next week, but the reality is that the Rangers hit the offseason in a pretty stable state, and don't have a lot of moves to make.  The starting lineup is set, the rotation is in good shape -- especially if they bring Colby Lewis back -- and what's left are depth and bench moves.

But really, coming off a division title, is stability really a bad thing?  Probably not...
